Miss Mamelodi 2026 contestant Chantel Kulani Sithole says her greatest ambition is not simply to win a beauty pageant, but to inspire young women to believe that their circumstances should never define their future.
Sithole said she hopes to become a positive role model for young women in Mamelodi by encouraging them to embrace realism, responsibility and respect while pursuing their dreams.
“I hope to inspire young women in Mamelodi to have role models who show them that effort matters and that life is not about perfection but about realism, responsibility and respect. I want to encourage them to respect their craft, get up and show up for their dreams so they don’t allow their circumstances to become barriers to achieving their goals.”
She said her ambitions extend beyond the Miss Mamelodi competition, with a vision of using the platform to create a lasting impact in her community.
“My ambition beyond the competition is to carry the crown with respect and responsibility. I want to continue the work I’ve already started, but with a greater purpose and greater impact. I also hope to collaborate with existing organisations to help young people access quality education and skills development opportunities.”
Sithole believes success begins with determination rather than financial resources and encourages young people to believe in themselves.
“To every young girl who dreams of achieving something meaningful, I want to say that everything happens for a reason. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Measure success by your effort, your hard work and your dedication.”
She added that a positive mindset is often more important than material resources.
“You don’t need millions to start. What you need is the right mindset and the knowledge to begin. Start with what you have, where you are, and keep moving forward.”
As she continues her Miss Mamelodi journey, Sithole hopes her platform will empower more young women to pursue education, develop their talents and overcome challenges through resilience and determination.
