EFF distributed food parcels to the community

The EFF Tshwane Region command team, led by the regional chairperson, Councilor Obakeng Ramabodu, launched a campaign to assist members who had been severely impacted by the floods in Mamelodi.

Mr Ramabodu, said there is a great deal of contextual background that must be considered because the area is unsafe for people and the relocation process must be completed as soon as possible.

Mr Walter Mogalaka, speaking on behalf of the community, said the Eerste Fabrieke community is grateful for what EFF is doing for the community even though the main leaders are failing the community.

“We believe that EFF will continue to support us even with the process of relocating as they did today with the food parcels,” he said.

Deputy regional chairperson of EFF, Counselor Leofi Leshababa, said the community must have hope.

“We are not just here to give food parcels only but we want to uplift hopes of these people and make sure they get what they want which is to relocate them from this unsafe area,” he said.

The community of Eerste Fabrieke expressed appreciation of the gesture of the EFF and said they are hopeful the party will help them achieve their goal.
