Mamelodi residents will be out of the water from 20h00 tomorrow to 07h00 Wednesday as Rand Water performs urgent maintenance of Mamelodi water supply pipeline from Tuesday, 10 September until Wednesday, 11 September 2019.
Acting Divisional Head of Strategic Communication at the City of Tshwane, Mr Lindela Mashigo, said “It is unfortunate that this necessary upkeep work might impact on the provision of water to some parts of Mamelodi for 11 hours from 20h00 until 07h00.
“In order to ensure the continued supply of water to residents, all reservoirs in the affected areas will be filled to capacity prior to shut-down. The importance of using water sparingly and limiting consumption to household use only during this period is vital,” he said.
Areas that might be affected are Sammy Marks Museum, Mamelodi and Kwaggafontein (Thembisile).
