It is day 13 of the South African lockdown and it will be the first Easter that residents will be spending in a curfew.

Residents of Mamelodi explained how they will be spending their Easter and if they think that the days of the lockdown will be increased.

Lesego Mabulana from Mamelodi east extension 4, a high school learner, said nothing has really changed in her daily routine as she is much more of an indoors person, but she is spending this time studying for her June exams.

“I just think the lockdown will be extended because they have not found the cure and deaths and infections are increasing.

Nqobile from Mamelodi East phase 4 is just grateful for the amount of time that she is spending with her family and likes that they are more connected now than before.

“Due to the lockdown, I will be spending Easter with my family, the plan is to have a small prayer session and after that continue with our lockdown routines of playing games,” she said.
