Residents in Pienaarspoort are experiencing a power outage following a cable fault at the Heatherly Substation.
The fault has been traced to the line between the Perel Plein mini-substation and T3 Montrose /Naude. Technical teams have identified the fault point and repair work is expected to proceed.
The outage has left households frustrated. One community member said residents have been without power for days and are struggling to keep food fresh and children warm, appealing to the municipality to speed up repairs.
The City of Tshwane has acknowledged the outage and confirmed that its electricity teams are on site attending to the cable fault at Heatherly Substation. The city said restoration will take place once repairs are completed but the estimated restoration time Thursday late.
Residents are advised to remain patient and to treat all electrical installations as live while technical teams work to restore power.
